Huts

The LMC has huts in the Lake District, Wales and Scotland.

Blea Tarn - The Loft

The Loft at Blea tarn

The two Lakeland huts have been acquired on land belonging to the National Trust near Blea Tarn above the head of Langdale.

The Welsh hut, a solid stone building of our own ownership, is situated in the valley bottom about a mile out of Beddgelert, in the Snowdonia National Park.

In Scotland we own a large static caravan at Tyndrum, just south of Glencoe.

Huts may be used by members without prior booking, and full members may introduce up to three guests at any given time.

One of the lakeland huts can be leased out to a small number of visiting clubs. The hut sleeps 16. Mattresses, crockery, cooking utensils, cutlery, heating, cooking and lighting are all included in the charge. Contact Dave Sudell tel 01942 258158 for details
